Bake with Me Wheat Sourdough Bread

I started baking sourdough bread when a neighbour gave me some starter.  I had no idea what to do with it so she gave me three pages of instructions and sent me off.

After watching lots of YouTube videos, starting and stopping them while I was making small steps, I managed to bake my first wheat sourdough bread (in the photo).

In this class you’ll learn how to make this delicious and nutritious sourdough bread with my help.

I will guide you through the entire bread-making process, from mixing and streching the dough to shaping, scoring and baking the bread. You’ll learn how to maintain your own sourdough starter, the key ingredient in this type of bread.

You’ll go home with the ready made dough and later in the evening you will bake it.

So come join us and let’s get baking!

Bake with Me Gluten Free Sourdough Bread

Please note this class will be run online, in a private FB group, over the Zoom.

There will be three sessions to cover the different stages of making this sourdough bread.

  • In the first session we will discuss what is sourdough starter, how to activate it and what flours best work for it.
  • In the second session we will prepare our preferment/levan for our bread.
  • In the third session we will mix the flours for the bread, form it and prepare it to rise.

In 6-10 hours after the dough will rise, you will be ready to bake your bread. You will receive all the necessary support and guidance to learn how to look after your starter, make your own flour mixture and many other sourdough goods.

I will record the sessions and keep the FB group open for four weeks so you will have time to ask your questions and master the skills you need to continue making this bread.

So come join us and let’s get baking!

Session one:   TBA
Session two: TBA
Session three: TBA
Event Date: TBA

“I had the good fortune to share a really educational session in making gluten free sourdough bread. What a great class! Not only was the class superb, with loads of extra information but even afterwards the contact and support were excellent. Victoria knows her stuff and is very good at passing on her wealth of knowledge. I enjoyed the class so much, I’d love more of the same for other culinary creations! I really encourage others to go too. It’s well worth it!”
